June 24, 2022. Due to some lingering foot issues that eventually required surgery this past May, my participation in art fairs has been severely limited. I will have a booth in the Waveland Art Fair on September 10th-11th. For more information, visit Waveland Art Fair. February 25, 2020. On March 14th and 15th, I'll have a booth at Kentucky Crafted: The Market, a top-notch art fair in the Alltech Arena of the Kentucky Horse Park. Hours are 10am-6pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday. The address is 4089 Iron Works Pkwy, Lexington, KY. Admission is $10. Children 15 and under admitted free. May 5, 2018. Through May 26, 2018, I'll be exhibiting more than two dozen large prints at the Craft(s) Gallery & Mercantile in Louisville, Kentucky. Many of those prints are on canvas and are sized from 20x30 to 28x60 (Priced from $275-$675). October 23, 2017. Last year's Holiday Fine Art Photograhy Sale was such a hit that we decided to make it an annual event! August 8th, 2015. In just a few days, I'll be setting up for the 40th edition of the Woodland Art Fair (August 15-16). I'll have a double booth (#12 & 13, facing the swimming pool). This event is held in Lexington's Woodland Park and features more than 200 artists and craftspersons from all across the country. Hours are 10-6 Saturday and 10-5 Sunday. Admission is free. June 28th, 2015. In just ten days or so, I'll be setting up again for the 3-day Berea Craft Festival (July 10-12). The event is held on the grounds of the Indian Fort Theater, just a couple of miles outside of Berea, Ky. Hours are 10-6 Friday and Saturday and 10-5 Sunday. August 23, 2014. In conjunction with the Lexington School of Photography, I'll be offering a 1-day workshop on "Making Sharper Images" on Saturday, September 13th. Whenever I critique photographs, especially my own, one of the first things I notice is whether or not the image is sharp. Many a great moment captured in-camera is ruined because the photographer did not use the correct camera settings and/or technique to ensure the making of sharp pictures. We will show you how to better ensure that you'll get sharp pictures. This workshop involves 3 hours of classroom time, followed by lunch, then an afternoon spent at Woodland Park practicing what was learned earlier. This workshop, entitled "It's All About the Print," will provide hands-on instruction for calibrating your monitor, downloading and installing printer profiles and printing from Lightroom and Photoshop...in short, we'll cover the steps necessary for ensuring that your prints come off the printer looking the way you want them to look. Sept 1-2, 2012 marks the first-ever Art in the Gardens at Liberty Hall art fair in Frankfort, Kentucky. Fifty Kentucky artists have been invited to take part in this inaugural event hosted by Liberty Hall Historic Site, a four-acre National Historic Landmark and the 1796 home of Kentucky’s first senator, John Brown. April 13th-15th, 2012. This Friday marks the third photography workshop I've conducted at the Scott County Public Library. For the first time, however, we've added a field trip and a subsequent critique session to provide a greater opportunities for learning how to take better photos. We'll begin at 2 pm Friday afternoon at the library with a 3-hour teaching session. Saturday morning, we'll meet at the northern Scott County area known as the Skullbuster property (also referred to as the Reservoir property) at 7 a.m. for an early morning photo walk. Then, on Sunday afternoon, we'll meet back at the library at 2 p.m. for a critique session on images you took during the nature walk. June 19th, 2011. I've just revamped the Blue Ridge Parkway page on my website by removing some "old" images and adding 13 new ones Click here to have a look. Also, this weekend finds me once more at Francisco's Farm Arts Festival, where I'll have a double sized booth featuring lots of new work since last year's show. The event has been moved from Midway College to Equus Run Vineyards, located on Moores Mill Road, which is off Leestown Road between Lexington and Midway. The event is June 25th-26th. May 18th, 2011. It's been a great spring, despite all of the rain we've had. Waterfalls are running well, and the redbuds and dogwoods were as lovely as ever! February 8th, 2011. Although I am still rehabilitating two knees that were replaced in 2011, I am very much open for business. August 5, 2010. A few days ago, I returned from a wonderful trip to the Rocky Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Most of my time was spent photographing wildflowers, waterfalls, sunrise/moonset and other mountain scenery in La Plata Canyon just outside of Durango. January 7, 2009 - I've reworked the "Colorado" gallery of images, resizing those which have been on the site for a while, as well as adding a new section called "More Colorado." The latter consists of images taken from 2005 and 2006, the last time I was there. Enjoy!

Nov 1, 2008 - If you're in the area of Stanton, Kentucky, which is on the outskirts of the Red River Gorge area, stop by the Bluegrass Craft and Antique Mall to see my work. My books, calendars and photographic prints are available for sale in booth #C25. The mall is behind Hardee's, just off Mountain Parkway exit 22. After exiting, go past Hardees and turn right at the light at Whitaker Bank. Just past a medical clinic on the right is the entrance to the mall parking lot. The mall is open 7 days a week.

Sept 8, 2008 - I have replaced some images in Red River Gorge galleries 1,2 and 3 with newer ones. All images in those galleries are now shown in a larger size than before, and are consistent with galleries 4 and 5.
